Hello and welcome! I’m Umur, a Senior Software Engineer at EPAM Systems with over 5 years of experience, fueled by a relentless passion for crafting innovative solutions. I thrive on building cutting-edge applications using TypeScript, React, Python, FastAPI, Celery, PostgreSQL, Langfuse, and LangChain, and I’m driven to push the boundaries of technology to create impactful, user-focused experiences.
Currently, I’m immersed in developing an AI agent-powered research platform for computational chemists, collaborating closely with our Data Science team to deliver a dynamic, chat-like interface backed by long-running services. As a Resource Manager for a talented team of three senior engineers, I’ve conducted over 20 technical interviews to build high-performing teams. My work includes designing a robust Python API with FastAPI to integrate in-house packages and crafting a sleek, responsive web UI with React and TypeScript. I’m a lifelong learner, recently earning an AWS Developer Certification and diving deep into MongoDB and generative AI to stay ahead of the curve. With a strong foundation in Python, SQL and Node.js, I’m always ready to tackle new challenges with enthusiasm and creativity.
